11. Operation Northwoods (5:24)
12. Disparse! (4:54)
13. Coercion & Consent (Remix by Ah-Cama Sotz) (6:41)

Back with their third album for HANDS and fifth total, Hysteresis have gathered all their eclectic endeavors of the past, whooped it up to the max and produced their most upfront – some may say outrageous – album yet. Encounter pumping techno tracks, braindance and breakbeats, ethnic samples and subversively misleading melodies. Political and critical, extreme and entertaining, accessible on the surface and yet demanding, “Hegemonia Cultural” is a perfect mirror of this capricious age.

ESA : Themes of Carnal Empowerment Pt.3: Penance [2015]

Artist: ESA

Genre: Industrial, Rhythmic Noise, Tribal, IDM
Quality: 320 kbps

09. Juju Yako (feat. Nemo Kami) (10:36)
10. Fenetre (feat. Nana Ama Frimpong) (08:13)

E.S.A. has become well known in the rhythmic noise/harsh industrial scene for his previous two dynamic entries in the "Themes" trilogy. Both Themes of Carnal Empowerment Pt. 2: Deceit and Themes Of Carnal Empowerment Pt. I : Lust received accolades and praise internationally, garnering the solo project of Jamie Blacker quite a cult following. Finally coming to a close, however, Blacker has put out what he considers the most definitive work of E.S.A. to date with "Themes of Carnal Empowerment Pt. 3: Penance".

Starting with 'Men Will Only Break Themselves', "Penance" moves through all the beats you can expect from E.S.A. but with improved and much more refined techniques and solid writing. Pounding rhythms will aurally destroy your ears and get you moving your feet, electronic warfare will make your eyes gush red, and Blacker's voice will sing you an anthem of pain and prosperity. It's quite lovely to get through this album from start to finish.

Memmaker : Let There Be Lasers [2016]

10. Doom Ray (Remixed By Synapscape)

Memmaker’s 2008 debut How to Enlist in a Robot Uprising felt very necessary at the time of its release. Released just as industrial was emerging from the long shadow of aggrotech and entering a phase of artistic renewal, the collaboration between Iszoloscope’s Yann Faussurier and Guillaume Nadon hit the perfect balance of fun, clubbable bangers and off-kilter humour right as audiences seemed primed for it. Arriving some eight years later, Let There Be Lasers is cut from the same cloth as its predecessor, emphasizing dancefloor thrills to excellent effect.

12. Taking Your Control Away                 04:49
13. Future Is a Concept (Ambient Mix)    04:22

With Ordo Ab Chao, Mono-Amine gives us an album that attacks with strong and continous rhythms in an hand to hand assault that has very few and well-conceived pauses, put only at the beginning and at the end of the album, but also an interesting chain of thoughts about politics. That of Joost isn’t the only case of rhythmic industrial music that talks about social problems through imperative tones (Winterkälte are masters in this practice), and this is the most fascinating element of the genre: a direct linkage between instrumental music characterized by strong rhythmic connotation and a message made of slogans and important statements. A work that doesn’t innovate, but that is particularly worthy of several listening sessions.

Letzte Ausfahrt Leben : Without Control [2016]

ARTIST.... Letzte Ausfahrt Leben
TITLE....... Without Control
STYLE...... Industrial, Rhythmic Noise
LABEL...... Raumklang Music
QUALITY..... 320 kbps/Joint-Stereo
COUNTRY... Germany

1. From the Inside (4:34)
2. Belief (5:34)
3. Fragment (5:08)
4. Burn Out (2:38)
5. Monotonie (4:20)
6. Desert Flower (5:28)
7. Without Control (5:30)
8. Obsession (5:41)
9. Deja Vu Effect (6:32)
10. I Am Empty (4:58)

Letzte Ausfahrt Leben, female-powered act from Germany, presents her sophomore album for Raumklang – and it comes as quite a surprise: The musical scope is much extended, successfully fusing the repetitive rhythm noise of her well-received debut with a wealth of ambience, downbeats and subtly nuanced composition. Female artists are regrettably a rare occurrence in hard rhythmic music, but Nina has established herself in the scene properly as a devoted producer, promoting herself and friends via her own netlabel. In 2014 her Raumklang debut “Mirrage” (and the accompanying remix album) propelled her into the spotlight and got her a number of live bookings as well.

On “Without Control” slow, crackling rhythms seething with distortion like venomous serpents meet dark cinematic atmospheres for a unique interpretation of the rhythm noise genre. It all has a very personal handwriting, a distinct female subtlety. Nina uses prominent sounds to brand her tracks: Organic, ritual downbeats on “From the Inside”, oriental sounds on “Fragment” and “Desert Flower” and plaintive strings on the Enigma-tic “Obsession”, interacting smoothly with the coarseness of “Burn Out” or “Monotonie”. Abrasive, mechanical beats dominate the title track or “Déjà vu Effect”, a brisk crossover of industrial and doomcore.

“Without Control” is one of those rare albums that manage to draw from a variety of influences but combine those into a coherent, immersive listening experience. It constantly oscillates between the enjoyable and the unsettling, and remains enthralling throughout!

Morbus M. : Fight Or Die [2016]

 ARTIST.... Morbus M.
TITLE....... Fight Or Die
STYLE...... Rhythmic Noise, IDM, Industrial
LABEL...... Hands Productions
QUALITY..... 320kbps / Joint-Stereo
COUNTRY... Germany

01. Burning Mind - 5:14
02. NBK - 5:27

04. Calling Down - 5:24

10. Sad About - 4:55
11. Deep Line (Deeper Rmx By the_empath) - 6:57
12. Took A Picture - 4:57
13. The Day After - 4:31

It’s taken a full six years for Rene Klimaczewski to complete and release this, his second album.  Comprising of thirteen tracks, one of which is a remix by The Empath (one half of label mates Trackologists); we have web of cinematic dystopian pads, with crunchy distorted beats and vocal sampling from various sources.

Rather than rely on evocative harmonies, Morbus M hit from a slightly more obscure off-key angle, with tracks such as ‘5000’, sounding more in touch with long gone artists such as the immense GGFH.

Occasionally dipping his toe into Powernoise is something this artist would actually benefit from avoiding, as this is one of his weaker traits (as on the generic ‘Calling Down). Where Klimaczewski excels is when he turns his attention to atmosphere and brooding electronic bass lines; and luckily there is more than enough of this on display throughout this release.

With the odd flutter of Trip-Hop tempered with an overdriven squelch in key areas, this allows for a patter of electronica to seep in and bring a touch of modernity to the proceedings (coming off a touch ‘Fade to Grey’ in the background of ‘Sad About).

‘Fight or Die’ is a story of contrasting styles; and a lot of the album slots in well with the title, with this mix of genres leading to a release that is at war with itself.  With respect though, when the tracks are in full flow, there is a lot on this latest opus to smile about, regardless of the warring factions that simply won’t meld; and with a simple ironing out, this could lead to something special in the future.

The Peoples Republic Of Europe : Machine District [2011]

After the critically acclaimed album, "Babylon", and the dark
ambient album "Solipsism", tPROE are back at the forefront of
industrial music with the new album "Machine District". Though
not a concept album like the previous ones, this album does fit
in well with the critical, libertarian and transhumanist views
tPROE are known for. "Machine District" holds twelve tracks,
with a lot of stompy four to the floor technoid industrial
tracks, but also some surprises like the SKINNY-PUPPY-meets-
George-Clinton track "Automation Test", the witchhouse from
"Stay Behind", which was written together with DEAD HAND
PROJEKT, and some distorted dancehall and noisy drum'n'bass.

All in all "Machine District" combines the rich experimental
sound of "Babylon" with the sheer stompathon of "Singularity",
without giving in to the bad hardstyle which is mistaken for
industrial nowadays. "Machine District" will be a treat for all
those who like their industrial harsh, painful and rude. tPROE
go beyond man-machine and choose the machine as the future. The
soundtrack for a world where skynet and the cylons are the
masters.

Sylvgheist Maëlström : Skaftafell [2012]

Sylvgheist Maëlström is a French producer who has a couple of albums under his belt already and joins the HANDS label roster in 2012 with an album that will leave a permanent impression: Glossy Electronica, elaborate beat programming and mind-blowing melodies, an actually minimal album (soundwise) which seems massive by its strong emotional impact. Sylvgheist Maëlström is preoccupied with natural events and special places, and "Skaftafell" is the evocation of a huge and massive glacier movement like a moraine or a surge. The concept is to describe as a sound the deep and uncontrollable movement of nature, as the glacier becomes an independent entity, an animal really, untamed by civilization. Nevertheless, after human influence, nature starts to destroy itself. The “Intro” showcases the deep melodies, pulses and peculiar beats, downbeat and distorted, yet with a strong organic feel to them, which we shall encounter throughout the album.
